Sue Ammerman

Sue Bio Pic

My first westie, Ray, introduced me to the wonderful world of dog training in 1995. I have West Highland White Terriers and a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. I have been lucky enough to accomplish great things with my dogs. I have competed and titled in tracking, agility, obedience, earthdog, rally, herding and confirmation. Special accomplishments include Front and Finish Obedience Placement, a Baltimore County Kennel Club Bred by Exhibitor Best in Show, a Bred by Exhibitor Champion and a Champion Tracker. My dogs have earned WHWTCA Master of Versatility Awards, WHTWCA Versatile Dog Excellent Awards and a CWCCA Master of Versatility. My husband, Denny, and I have bred a number of very versatile Westies who are located in homes across the East Coast and in Alaska. I am an AKC tracking judge and currently teach tracking classes for Del Bay Herding Club. I am also an avid quilter and enjoy hanging out in my sewing room surrounded by dogs and by fabric.

Dogs are my passion and I love the training process. The titles are just icing on the cake. Dogs are amazing creatures. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t appreciate their diversified talents.

I am excited and honored to be judging the Golden National Tracking tests. I trained my first dog, a GSD, for obedience in Junior High School. Since then I've titled GSDs, GSPs, Border Collies, and a Belgian Tervuren in obedience, agility, and especially tracking. Gusto earned his TDX at our National, so I know what a thrill that experience is.

I am looking forward to judging the Goldens! Thank you for inviting me
